DOMINO Awards for business and schools

At an official evening ceremony on 12 June 2019, companies, chambers of commerce and vocational schools have been awarded for their contribution to the introduction of dual education in Bulgaria under the Swiss-funded project DOMINO. These are the first ever awards of that kind in Bulgaria.

Swiss Ambassador Muriel Berset Kohen, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Tanya Mihaylova and Deputy Minister of Economy Liliya Ivanova handed over the awards. Representatives of the schools and business received a certificate of appreciation and a statuette – domino symbol made by Anton Georgiev, a teacher from a vocational high school- a partner in the project.

Award for the Most Active Branch Chamber in Enabling the Cooperation between  schools and companies for the introduction of dual education /Branch Chamber for Wood-processing and Furniture  Production/

Award for the Most Active Regional Industry Chamber  in Enabling the Cooperation between  schools and companies for the introduction of dual education /Trade and Industry Chamber – Stara Zagora/

Award for the Company with the largest number of apprentices compared to the overall number of workers in the enterprise AC/DC Pleven

Award for the most active company in the elaboration of new curricula for dual education    /Albena AD/

Award for the Swiss company in Bulgaria with the biggest number of dual students   (Nestle Bulgaria)

Award of the Company which employed the largest number of students after graduating dual trainingArsenal AD

Award for the company with the best social benefits for dual studentsCEZ Distribution Bulgaria

Schools

Award for the VET school which offers dual training for the largest number of professions compared to the overall number of professions taught in the school /2 awards for VET schools which introduced the dual system for more than 80 % of the professions taught in the school: Technical VET School in Yambol and VET School for Architecture and Wood-processing in Plovdiv/

Award for the First VET School in Bulgaria which applied to join DOMINO project and implement dual education VET Scool Ivan Hadjienov, Kazanlak joined DOMINO in 2015 

Award for the VET school with the largest number of dual VET students compared to the overall number of students in the school  /VET School for Industrial Technologies, Management and Tourism – Panagiurishte/

Award for the Best VET School in Promotion of the Dual System /VET School for Transport and Energy Henry Ford, Sofia/
