11 students from the dual classes for cooks in the vocational schools in Pernik, Burgas, Stara Zagora and Dobrich, part of the DOMINO Project have been shortlisted for the second round of the Culinary Contest “I am the best chef ever”.
The contest is organized by the DOMINO Project and Swiss Education Group (SEG).
In total 30 students participated in the first stage of the contest, which was writing an essay “The pleasure to cook for other people”. „I am deeply impressed by the motivation and the strong culinary emotions of the participants. Indeed, the passion for cooking, the most important ingredient for success in this industry in the hearts of these students”, says Goran Yordanov, Senior Regional Manager of Swiss Education Group. „The essays we have received are an undoubtful proof that their authors have quite deliberately chosen the profession of a cook from an early age and they have both, the vision of what they want to achieve as a professional career and how to make it happen”, adds Petya Evtimova, DOMINO team leader.
The next challenge of the contest is a short video clip, featuring the theme “My restaurant”. Three-member jury and voting in the social media will decide on the winners. The Grand Prix is a week course “Introducing the World of Culinary” in Culinary Academy – Switzerland, the second – two-day participation in the Doors Open event of the Swiss Education Group in Switzerland and the third – the Culinary book and a cooking apron of the Museum of the world-renowned chef Anton Mosimann.
